It discusses the many different types of collectors, charge controllers, inverters, and batteries available on the market today and covers some of the pros and cons associated with each of them. It is designed to give consumers unbiased information about the different types of solar technology to help them make informed choices concerning which ones might be right for them. The workshop is conducted on board the Archimedes in our solar air conditioned main salon and includes a tour of the ship and its solar powered systems. Minimum of 3 registrants required to make a class with a maximum of 6 participants.

It covers the many types of technology available on the market today and discusses the pros and cons of the various approaches to marine electric propulsion including valuable information resources on some of the best places to buy hardware plus tips on selecting a qualified professional to do the installation for you.
Low cost, high efficiency, Marine Air Conditioner Workshop: $199
This 6 hour workshop takes you step by step through the process of converting a standard dehumidifier or window air conditioner into a high efficiency, water cooled marine air conditioner. The course covers safety considerations, hardware specifications, tool requirements, air conditioning technology review, and fabrication and critical charging techniques. Minimum of 2 registrants required to make a class with a maximum of 3 participants.
